Jun 05, 2018 7:00 pm The USDA Forest Service anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price construction contract for the Hume Creek Culvert Replacement on the St.

Joe Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle National Forests.

The culvert is located on FS Road 1950 at milepost 0.01 in the NW 1⁄4 of Section 9, T.

43 N, R.

2 W., Boise Meridian, Benewah County, Idaho.

The latitude and longitude at the site is 47.089490, -116.596327.

The project can be accessed from Emida, Idaho by taking FS Road 1479 approximately 3 miles south to the intersection with FS Road 1950.This project is for the removal of an existing 73" x 55" pipe arch culvert and replacing it with a 12' span, 4'0 1⁄2" rise structural plate arch, 0.111" thickness.

Work includes but is not limited to structure excavation, furnishing and placing precast concrete footings on geocell abutment stabilization, furnishing and erecting the multi-plate arch and furnishing and installing a 21" x 15" corrugated steel pipe arch.

Work includes furnishing and installing all components in accordance with the plans and specifications.This procurement will be set aside for Total Small Business.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies (other than for those listed as Government-furnished items) and supervision necessary to complete all required construction.The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5 million average annual receipts of a firm over three years.

Per FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.It is estimated that the Notice to Proceed under this contract will be issued approximately mid-March, 2019 to facilitate the contract submittal process and Contractor ordering of materials.

In-stream work will only be allowed July 15, 2019 - October 30, 2019.

The Contractor shall develop and submit a Plan of Operation for de-watering, stream diversions, and sediment control to meet project BMPs throughout the entire reach of the project 15 days prior to any in-stream work.

A formal site visit will NOT be scheduled when the solicitation is issued.The Forest Service anticipates issuing the solicitation for this acquisition on or about June 21, 2018.

The solicitation package will include all maps, plans, drawings, and specifications and should be downloaded from this website at that time.
